"Become one of many unique heroes and unleash devastating attacks in a Team or Solo battle for ultimate domination!

Can you SMASH your rivals out of the arena before they smash you?"

Smash Heroes is a competitive minigame on the Hypixel Network released on January 11, 2016. It features many characters based on popular media, mainly inspired by Marvel, D.C. Comics, anime, or the internet. It is one of four total minigames consisting of resource packs (excluding Arcade Games).

Gameplay[]

Solo - 1v1v1v1[]

This gamemode consists of a 4 player free-for-all. The goal is to be the last man standing. Start by throwing your opponents out of the void to attempt to have the most amount of lives left at the end. The health bar indicates your health. Players start with 100 health as the default amount.(If you prestige your hero, you will increase the hero's health.) The exp bar shows the energy level, which is used to show when you may jump or other things, for example: You need 45 energy as Karakot to teleport by pressing shift. Each kill is worth 16 coins and 20 EXP, assists are worth the same amount of coins but only give 10 EXP. Every game played through is worth 5 coins, while winning the game is worth 20 coins, assuming the player doesn't have boosters or coin multipliers.

Solo - 1v1[]

This gamemode is a duel between two players, the last one with lives is alive is the winner. This is similar to solo 1v1v1v1l, though with only two players. Unlike 1v1v1v1, Smash Crystals do not spawn. You can invite a player to a party and join 1v1 and duel them, or invite up to 8 players, and decide who can spectate and play in a menu before the game. While playing a 1v1 game, they do not add kill, death, win, or loss stats.

Team - 2v2[]

This gamemode consists of a 4-player team battle. Each team consists of two players. Similar to Solo Mode but with another player teamed with you.

Team - 2v2v2[]

This gamemode consists of a 6-player team battle. Each team consists of two players, and there are three teams in the game. Similar to Team Mode but with another team of players.

Friends - 1v1v1v1[]

This gamemode is the equivalent of solo 1v1v1v1, but is only accessible using a party of at least 4 players.

Prestiges and Master Skins[]

Master Skins are the most tedious grind in Smash Heroes, especially if you want to get more than one masterskin. When you get a hero to level 20, it cannot reach a higher level without unlocking a new prestige level. Once you have reached Prestige 5 level 20, you can unlock the MS for the hero. You can preview a MS by going into the prestige menu and right clicking on the masterskin button. When you unlock a prestige, a chat message will be sent in the lobby: "(player-name) has unlocked Prestige (1-5) for (hero-name!)" and your level on the hero will be reset allowing you to get to level 20 again and unlock the next prestige. The same goes for masterskins, except your level is not reset: "(player-name) has unlocked Master Skin (hero-name!)" in addition, the hero's Smash activation voiceline will be played to everyone in the lobby you unlock the MS in. Each prestige costs more coins and EXP to reach the next prestige. (prestige 1 = 50k coins, p2 = 120k, p3 = 250k, p4 - 400k, p5 = 750k, and MS = 250k.) The total amount of EXP you will need on a hero to get it's MS is 161,830, meaning to get the MS on all the heroes in the game you would need over 2.5 million EXP!

Character Ratings[]

These character ratings are based off of current viability as of December 2020. Smash Heroes has a wide range of skill so the ratings will change as you get better. Because of this, there are three different lists corresponding to different stages of skill. To see why certain heroes are where they are, check their individual pages.

Beginner Level[]

This level is for players that have 2-4 characters unlocked and should help serve as a guide to what heroes you should unlock to be as effective as possible. Do note that more expensive heroes are not better because of their cost, but rather the players using them have more experience playing the game, meaning that they will usually beat someone who has not yet unlocked the hero they are using.
